Prologue
In the mystic woods of Ireland lived a little six year old girl named Jojo. Jojo lived in an old worn-out mushroom cottage with her mum, her dad had been believed dead when he was out far away chopping wood and was never seen since then. Poor Jojo had only just turned one so she never exactly knew her father, Jojo’s mum said that she would tell her father’s name when she turned thirteen. Also, Jojo loved apples and the colour red, but today something terrible and adventurous is about to happen…

Chapter I
Apple-Picking
Every now and then Jojo had a job to pick apples [Or Apple-picking] every day except Saturday and Sunday from the apple forest, it was about a kilometre to walk, and more surprising Jojo loved her job. Wandering around in the green woods, passing rivers and spotting frogs as she goes by…it was all a adventure to her, not only that her and her mum lived close by to a village. Mum usually goes around there to visit grandma and borrow some cutlery from her, as soon as Jojo finished her apple pie dinner mum wanted her to go out to pick some apples [kindly, kindly] so she put on her red cape and hood and skipped all the way to the apple forest, the sun hadn’t set yet, then as soon as she saw the apple forest sign “Finally here!” she said happily and went galloping in. suddenly… she got jump-scared and let out a screech.

Chapter II
Little Mouse

She looked around and saw a little old lady about half the size of Jojo that was dressed completely in black and you couldn’t see her face only her old crispy lips. “Oh…Um Hello” Jojo said puzzled, “who are yew” said the old blouse “My name is J-Jojo” shocked Jojo nervously “Wut are YEW doink ere?” Screeched the old woman “P-P-Picking a-apples” Shivered Jojo “DIS IS MAI APPWLE FONEST AND YOU ARE NOT ALUWED IN MAI FONEST!!!” Screamed the old woman, and with that, the woman snatched a wand out of her pocket and with one quick tick she turned Jojo into a tiny woodland mouse! All her clothes [But not her basket, thank goodness] blanketed her and couldn’t see nothing but red. The witch grabbed all her things but not her basket and bleated “Now your moder is neextd!” the witch seemed to be terrible at pronouncing her words, “Wut arr yew goink to dew naw?? AHAAHAHAH” and then she galloped to Jojo’s cottage.

Chapter III
Travelling In Style

Jojo didn’t know what to do now, that witch was more powerful than her and her mother was going to end up like Jojo. She thought to herself “what’s a dumb old woodland mouse like me going to do about this?” but then she looked at her basket, and had an idea. Jojo climbed into the basket and set off sailing down the river. Jojo climbed and peaked over the top to see where she was going, whist sailing Jojo quickly clambered out a long skinny oak branch and decided to use it as her paddle, it was a rocky and bumpy journey, there were rocks, fallen-over logs which were very tricky to pass, leafs sometimes fell in and on top of the basket, there was even a green frog that jumped in and almost ate Jojo! I guess you could kind of say it was travelling in style though you can judge for yourself. Now Jojo knew that the river wouldn’t lead her straight to her cottage, and that’s when the basket toppled over a big rock near the bankside. Jojo almost knew the whole entire forest off by heart, so she got out of the basket and started zooming to the cottage.

Chapter IV
Stop That Witch!

Then at last she made it to the cottage, “Time to stop that witch!” she went through the pipes and fell into the sink bowl. It seemed the witch hadn’t arrived yet, although Jojo’s mum came over to the sink, she let out a yelp “AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!” She screamed and threw the mouse outside “Oh, I forgot my mum is scared of mice, especially woodland ones” She mumbled. Jojo didn’t know what to do now, although suddenly she realised she was changing back…To jojo! She was becoming taller and changing back to herself “The spell must have only lasted a few minutes” She was relieved that it was just some minutes. She turned back over to the cottage and saw that the witch was inside!!! Jojo quickly rushed in and the witch was just about to put a spell on Jojo’s mum when she leaped and grabbed the wand right out of the witch’s hand.

Chapter V
Freedom

She fell down on the floor and as she got up, the witch screeched “GIMME DAT WUND WITE ‘OW!” but quickly, Jojo waved the wand and said “MAKE THIS WAND AND OLD WITCH DISSAPEAR FOREVER!” and as quick as a tick, both the wand and the witch disappeared into thin air “What was that all about?!?” questioned Jojo’s mum “Ummm…It’s a long story” Babbled Jojo, “By the way, we could have kept that wand you know.” Replied mum “Eh” Commented jojo and then they both hugged each other. Just then, they heard cheering outside, “FREEDOM” People were shouting, Jojo and her mum rushed out to the village “You have freed all of us! The witch had us on a spell and was trying to kill everyone in Ireland!” “You are the bravest girl we have ever met!” Jojo had a slight chill go down her spine, she was surprised.

Epilogue

That day onwards, Jojo’s life and her mum’s was changed forever, the villagers made them a large cottage for them and Jojo made tons of friends with the village children, most were farmers, butchers, blacksmiths, librarians and two of them were the daughters of the village priest. Another thing was that Jojo was now trying different foods: steak, mince pies, banana splits, fudge brownie, cherry tarts and oat bread were her top picks, and so, just like any fairy tale they lived happily ever after.
